Native Arts and Culture of Teewakacak: The History of Beads

Sayokla Kindness (Oneida) is an award-winning bead artist and a water protector. She will share her knowledge of the use of beads amongst Native peoples paired with her commitment to the environment. Participants will create water protector pins made with beads. To register for this program, call the Nature Center at Devil’s Lake to reserve your spot: (608) 356-8301 ext. 140. This program was made possible by an Incentive Grant from The Friends of Wisconsin State Parks and funding provided by The Friends of Devil’s Lake State Park, The Little Eagle Arts Foundation, and the Sauk County Arts, Humanities, and Historic Preservation grant.
