The Founders’ Circle is a highly select group of individuals, businesses, foundations, and organizations that share this exciting vision for the interpretive center at the park. To keep membership limited the fundraising goal for the Founders’ Circle is capped at $3 million.

A donor may be recognized as a member of the Founders’ Circle in addition to securing a Donor Recognition Opportunity.

Membership comes with special recognition and privileges, guaranteeing a place of honor in appropriate campaign publications, advertisements, and social media promotions that the Friends initiate throughout the campaign and will be specially featured in our donor recognition display at the park.

Membership as a Distinguished Member of the Founders’ Circle can be obtained with gifts and pledges made at the levels listed below.

• Oak Level $500,000 +

• Maple Level $100,000 to $499,999

• Spruce Level $50,000 to $99,999

• Birch Level $25,000 to $49,999

Join the Happy Camper Club with a monthly contribution!

Sustaining donors are critical to our campaign’s success and this is a convenient, easy way to make a significant gift to the Friends over time.

As a monthly Happy Camper Club donor, you’ll receive a campaign sticker and receive all Friends member benefits including a 10% discount on food and merchandise at Devil's Lake State Park concessions (some exclusions apply).

You’ll also be invited to members-only special events, be the first to learn about Friends events and volunteer opportunities, receive a quarterly Friends Newsletter, and have the knowledge that you have made a positive difference at Devil’s Lake State Park!

We encourage donors to explore the option of spreading their gift payments over a three-year period. This pledge method not only enables you to contribute a more substantial gift but also allows for financial flexibility as the contribution is distributed over time rather than made in a single payment.

View Donor Recognition Opportunities

Donor Recognition Opportunities are available for gifts starting at $5,000 to show our appreciation to donors who make significant campaign gifts. All donors to the capital campaign who wish to be recognized will be listed in alphabetical order in publications created at the campaign’s conclusion. There are a number of Donor Recognition Opportunities available, starting at $5,000. Depending upon the size of your gift, you may qualify for more than one item or feature of the new Interpretive Center facility.

Families, co-workers and/or organizations may also wish to team up to make a combined gift to qualify for a special Donor Recognition Opportunity.

Additionally, donors making gifts and pledges of $10,000 and above will be recognized in a suitable location of the Interpretive Center once built. The donor recognition area will include the names of individual and family donors, businesses, foundations, and organizations that have made substantial contributions to the campaign.

Considering a donation in the form of Gifts of Stock or Securities can be a highly effective and beneficial way to support the Campaign for America's State Park. When you transfer ownership of long-term holdings to the Friends of Devil's Lake State Park, you receive a charitable deduction for their full market value at the time of transfer and you incur no capital gains tax (subject to IRS deduction limits). These tax advantages can decrease the cost of your donation, providing a greater opportunity to contribute more significantly to the campaign.

By opting to donate securities, you not only make a profound impact on the campaign, but also introduce potential financial benefits for yourself. We highly recommend consulting with your financial advisor to understand how this type of giving could work for you. Your support is vital to our campaign and a gift of stock or securities symbolizes a deep commitment to preserving and enhancing the natural wonder and educational resources of Devil's Lake State Park.
